About the Programme

Our National Programmes were accredited by the National Board for Technical Education. Since 2012 the Polytechnic runs a number of NBTE Acrredited Diplomas and Higher National Diploma. Our syllabus is designed to produce technically competent graduates to meet National middle-level manpower needs in several disciplines. The programmes follows a structured framework to ensure quality Technical Education in Nigeria.

Programme Structure

• National Diploma (ND): The National Diploma typically last for two years (four semesters). It provides foundational knowledge in various disciplines.
• Higher National Diploma (HND): This is the advanced level, also lasting two years (four semesters). It builds on the ND programme and includes more specialized coursework.

Entry Requirements

• ND Admission: Requires credit passes in five relevant subjects (English, Mathematics, and three others related to the field of study) in SSCE/GCE/NTC.
• HND Admission: Requires a National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of lower credit from an NBTE-accredited Institutions, plus one-year post-ND Internship. Candidates with a pass-level in their ND and two years of work experience may also be considered.

Programme Components

Each Diploma programme consists of:

1. General Studies – Communication skills, entrepreneurship, and social sciences.
2. Foundation Courses – Basic sciences and mathematics.
3. Professional Courses – Core subjects related to the discipline.
4. Industrial Training – Practical experience in relevant industries.
5. Final Project – A research or practical project in the final semester.

These programmes are designed to equip students with technical skills and practical knowledge for employment or further studies.
